The laboratories of the Department of Chemistry are divided into three types:

• Laboratories of synthesis and preparation
• Instrumental laboratories
• Computational laboratories  

In the Laboratories of Synthesis and Preparation new molecules are synthesized and produced samples to be analysed;

In the Instrumental Laboratories systems of chemical research are studied withdifferent spectroscopic techniques;

In the Computational Laboratories  new molecules are designed and calculated some of their properties through the use of computers.
