Five research groups are active in the Department in the area of Inorganic Chemistry.

The groups are headed by Professors Cini, Gaggelli, Mangani, Valensin and Zanello. Their research activity is in the field of bioinorganic chemistry and of electrochemistry of redox active complexes, metallic clusters and metals in medicine and in foods.
