The Research Unit of Complex Systems, also collaborates with the Center of Complex systems and faces environmental thematic with particular interest in the rational use of energy.

Its search is addressed towards the georeferentiation of the energetic resources in provincial scale for the improvement of the environment quality.

Local problematic are also studied: the drawing up of the Regional Energetic Plan, and the province energetic plans of Siena and Pistoia.

Finally, beyond university institutional didactic this Unit organizes the professionalizing module for technical "Energy Manager for the conservation and rational use of energy".
